11 Weeks : Smarter by the Day

Macey on the Rocks

Escape Artist: When we drove home from Laramie, Macey was just under 8 weeks old. We stopped at the Home Depot in Rock Springs where we bought a dog pen. Click the PLAY button to see how we can kiss $79.99 goodbye. I folded the pen up so we don’t have to worry about her catching a leg when climbing over it.

This photo makes Macey look larger and more mature. She is outgrowing her original doggie kennel.

Sleeping Macey

Last week, I picked up a couple of stuff doggies at the local garage sales. This one is roughly Macey’s size and gives her a good tussle.

“Noses”: This is one of her newest tricks. Hopefully, I will be able to get her to keep it balanced on her nose until I can count to three. Lots of little steps…but she is getting the hang of it.

A quick reference clip of Macey coming down the stairs. She was able to go up the stairs the first day she was home, but it took day for her to come down them.

Up the stairs.

Macey met up with a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy on Saturday.

Macey on Snow

Macey on Togwotee Pass: Still a lot of snow on the pass. Macey loves it!

Muddy Macey

Muddy Macey: I snapped this one with my cell phone after seeing our white dog had turned into a muddy mess.

Macey's First Kennel

Macey’s First Kennel: Tyler bought this small kennel up in Denver before he picked her up at the breeders. She fit in it easily, but has now outgrown it.

Macey's Second Kennel

Macey’s Second Kennel: Last Saturday, I made the garage sale circuit with mission #1 to find her a larger kennel. Found it! At the rate she is growing, I might be looking for a larger one soon. This kennel fits nicely on the back seat of my truck. It’s very apparent she likes it much better. Each night, I drag it into the bedroom where she sleeps the night away before getting restless at 5:30 to 6:00 am.
