A puppy stays a puppy for a precious short period of time. We’ll take thousands of photos and videos as Macey gets older, but now’s the time to capture her as an innocent little puppy.
I collect all kinds of cool old props. This page features Macey against a seamless black backdrop, with a variety of my props. At least during our first week with her, she’s a true poser!
This is a 1903 RCA Victor Gramaphone. It’s the same model used in their classic logo. The music was playing, and at least temporarily captured Macey’s attention.
My wife, Darla, want me to make sure people she’s a girl. She found a crown with a little bling and Macey tolerated it.
Tyler’s girlfriend, Laura, picked out a pink collarfor her first days as a family member.
We are a “Golden Retriever Family”.Our first Golden, Mandy, was light gold and our second Golden was more of a traditional red. I bought this lion 12 years ago for photos with Zeffy, the second pup. At one time, it played Tom Jone’s “What’s New Pussy Cat” while its head rocked around and its mouth opened and closed to the music. After all these years, the sound is gone, but the action captured Macey’s attention.
We picked Macey up on a Friday and we introduced her to her new home on Saturday. On Monday, I went to Teton Tales in Jackson Hole and found her a puppy scarf. I think she looks so cute with a red scarf, but Darla wishes it was pink!
Macey makes our heart sing!
After less than a week, Macey is getting bigger, heavier, and much more curious. She has the layout of the house figured out. Right now, she’s sleeping at my feet after a long a productive day.
